Phone Basic Features: Call Transfer & 3-Way Calling


Transfer an Existing Call to a 3rd party from a single-line phone:

1. Begin by pressing your switch hook (or the Flash button or the Lightning Bolt button).

2. Hear the 3-beep recall dial tone and dial the number you want the call to be transferred to.

3. Once the 3rd party answers the phone, you may hang up.

4. If the 3rd party is busy and does not answer the phone, or gets the answer machine, the caller must flash the switch hook twice to return to the original caller.
 

Converting an Existing Call to a 3-way Call:

1. Begin by pressing your switch hook (or the Flash button or the Lightning Bolt button) and then dial as the instructions above indicate.

2. When the 3rd party answers, you may continue your phone call; however, when the party hangs up, the 2-way will continue.

 

Transfer an Existing Call to a 3rd party from a multi-line phone:

1. Press the Transfer button.

2. Dial the number you want the call to be transferred to.

3. Press the Transfer button again to release the call. If the display screen on your phone has a Complete button, you will press the Complete button to release the call.

 

Converting an Existing Call to a 3-way Call:

1. Press the Conference button.

2. Dial the number you want to add to your existing call.

3. When the 3rd party answers, press the Conference button again to connect the calls. If the display screen on your phone has a Join button, you will press the Join button to connect the calls.
