Cisco Unity Connection Voicemail

NOTE: At this time, only those departments using Cisco Deskphones and/or Cisco Jabber can use Cisco Unity Connection Voicemail

 

The first time you access your voicemail: 

  1. Press the Picture 2 button on your Cisco desk phone or Dial 35000 from your Cisco Jabber softphone
  2. Enter 12345 as the PIN
  3. The Unity Connection Voicemail System will prompt you to:
  • Record your name
  • Record a greeting
  • Set a new password (a minimum of 5-digits)
  1. Once you have completed all the prompts, your voicemail box is ready to receive messages.

 

To check your voicemail messages in the future:

  1. Press the Picture 1 button on your Cisco desk phone or Dial 35000 from your Cisco Jabber softphone
  2. Enter your PIN

NOTE: If you’ve forgotten your PIN, try 12345. If that doesn’t work, please contact the ITS Service Desk at 578-3375 or email servicedesk@lsu.edu for assistance

  1. Follow the prompts to check your messages 

 

To change your voicemail greeting in the future, perform the following after logging in

  1. Press 4 for setup options
  2. Press 1 for Greetings
  3. It plays your current greeting
  4. Press 1 to re-record. Press # when finished recording
  5. Hang up or follow the prompts

 

To Access another Cisco Unity Connection Voicemail mailbox

  1. Dial 35000 
  2. Press * (star) 
  3. Enter the mailbox number you wish to log into then press # 
  4. Enter the PIN (User 12345 if this is the first time accessing the voicemail box)
  5. The first time you login, it will ask you to choose a new PIN, record a name, and record a greeting (this will be what all callers hear when opting to leave a voicemail instead of waiting to speak to an agent) 
  6. You are now logged in
