Accounts: Mainframe Account Policy (Separation)

This article discusses the policy about mainframe accounts when an employee leaves LSU.

• If an employee leaves LSU, and the account is inactive for a period of 60 days, the account will be set to a status of SUSPEND.
• When an employee is no longer in HRM as an active employee, their log on ID is set to the status of CANCEL. (The status of employees are monitored everyday.)
• The removal or a MyLSU Account ID (and all files associated with that user) is to PURGE.
• If an account is inactive for a period of 18 months AND the account was set to a status of CANCEL or SUSPEND during this time, the account will be PURGED from the system.
