myLSU Portal: myLSU account Password Change


NOTE

If you are using a mobile device to access the myLSU portal, you may need to rotate your phone to landscape mode to access the menu.


Change your myLSU Password in the myLSU Portal

If you suspect your myLSU account has been compromised, you will want to change your password immediately. Please keep in mind that you MUST enter your current password in order to complete this process.

NOTE: If you have forgotten your password or your password has expired, you can reset it by using the Forgot Password link; see GROK Article 9980 for instructions on how to do this.

1. Log into the myLSU Portal  (mylsu.apps.lsu.edu/).

2. Select Personal Preferences from the sidebar at the left, then click Password Management.

3. Select an Account, if you have multiple accounts. Then, click Change Password.

4. Enter a New Password then Reenter the New Password.  (These Two Passwords MUST Match Each Other.)

5. Click Change Password.

Note: The myLSU Account Password MUST be changed periodically: Every 60 Days OR Every 180 Days depending on the Password Strength. The Strength will change as you type, but your password MUST be Yellow or Green to be Accepted. For more information, see: myLSU Password Security Levels.

Note: Once you have created a new password, please wait at least 30 minutes to 2 hours for the reset process to complete in our system before logging back in. 

Clearing out your cookies and cache during the wait can often solve issues when signing in, as this ensures that there is no previously stored data for a site that might cause issues.
