ITS Web Browser Recommendations

In today’s highly heterogeneous computing environment, it is important to maintain a level playing field across multiple architectures and operating systems for the best end-user experience. With this in mind, LSU Information Technology Services recommends the following list of browsers for the most substantial and enjoyable browser experience.

Keep your Web Brower Secure. As browsers have become more processor and memory-intensive, there needs to be some guidance as to which browsers work best. Generally, we recommend using the newest browser release. The newest browser release generally provides the greatest compliance with web standards and browser security; however, not all older operating systems can run the latest versions.
